We banged a lot of head down there together for about 6 or 7 years!

JB Thomas! The new Ivie! Dude's casts looked too short to me and his bait was below the fish most of the time. I don't bass fish but chasing crappie since 2019 on the scope going below them is never good! He should book some of Josh's $2k trips and get lined out! roflmao

Josh and Zaldain did a recent video on J.B. Thomas.

According to Josh the kid did not catch those fish on JB.

For those butt hurt about the $2k, a lot of the members of this traveling circus is charging $2k.

Also see others complaining about the guide catching fish.

I got invited to what was supposed to be a catfish trip on Waurika Lake in OK last year. When we were leaving the launch the guide asked us what we wanted to fish for. I told him I had just cleaned 500 catfish from a trip down to Louisiana when I take my mom and aunt every day. I didn't much care to see another catfish, I wanted to see that livescope in action on the crappie. I had never fished with livescope again.

It was extremely windy and the fish were scattered. Most weren't in the brush but just in wide open water on flats hanging around by themselves. I tried catching the first several fish and I just couldn't figure it out. Eventually I just asked the guide to catch some fish. I wanted to watch and learn how he was doing it. For me, I didn't care about actually catching the fish, I was trying to learn.

If I were to spend $2k with JJ, it would be to learn. If I am unable to catch the fish, I want to watch him catch the fish. It would be stupid to pay $2k just to catch fish. People are paying $2k to learn, not catch fish. I honestly wouldn't want to catch my PB with someone telling me exactly where to cast, how quickly to retrieve it, when to stop, etc.....

Like mentioned before if I were gonna drop $2k for the sole purpose of catching fish, I'm going on an overnight tuna trip.

If anyone is wanting to learn FFS and doesn't want to spend $2k with JJ, do yourself a favor and look up Tristan Marsh. He is a great young man and an absolute hammer on almost all of these West Texas Lakes. He was the one that kicked this whole J.B. Thomas deal off last summer. I showed up to the lake just after he and his buddy were getting off with a 52 lb sack. They had 3 - DDs and a 9-15.

Time on the water is what you makes you proficient with FFS. Period. Yea you can watch someone do it.... that information is free on YouTube and miliken who could probably run circles around JJ has many videos where he has the screen mirrored and you see everything. Its how I learned. If you feel like watching it in person go pay your 2k. But at the end of the day its time behind the screen thats going to get you good at it. Not hiring JJ.

I'd gladly hire him if needed. He's one of the proven best that I've seen so far. Can't deny that!

He's a marketing expert on catching a chit load of DD's too. I really don't know of the other guys that are doing it. Maybe Ben.

Miliken is the marketing expert. JJ will be a minor footnote.

To each his own and good for JJ, but riding in a guide boat, having a guide select the location, the bait and technique, having a guide chase a fish with FFS, showing me where to cast and how to retrieve....just doesn't seem real rewarding to me. Seems almost like a canned deer hunt.

If and when I get livescope I would gladly pay $2k to learn. A chance to catch DD would be icing on the cake
