Dragging a crig isn’t open heart surgery, you don’t need to be a surgeon to do it…

The skill is in where and how you drag it, not what you drag it with. It looks like you have a whole pile of high quality rods that will work.

Yeah I'm sure the op doesn't know what he is talking about lolz..... roflmao

I bet he’s got it all figured out. That was the point of my comment. If you got it all figured out why would you ask.

I am a tackle nut for sure. I don't golf or hunt so what I don't spend on those activities I spend on tackle and so I have way more tackle than I need.
The rods I listed work well with other techniques also, ( maybe you don't realize that) I just tested them all out with a Carolina rig because I had them. I like to choose what I like best by my own on the water experience. I also swap out reels on rods to see which combo i like best. I have Daiwa, Lews, and Shimano reels, a variety of each.......Simple as that.
If that bothers you ,,,,,keep it to yourself.

roflmao today is the day, 12/[26/2023, everyone on the TFF must keep their opinions to themselves because ezbassin and the 🏳️‍🌈 team WAWI 🏳️‍🌈 said so! roflmao

Still using my Falcon Lowrider Carolina Lizard Dragger that I have been using for many years.

I'll give it another shot. I like braid on my reels because I don't have to respool as often. thumb

I bet he’s got it all figured out. That was the point of my comment. If you got it all figured out why would you ask.

The reason I asked because a buddy of mine at the lake asked me what I use for a Carolina rig and what I would suggest because he was going to purchase 2 rods for Carolina rigging while rods are on sale for the holidays. I asked because I wanted to see what others were using. I am surprised that more did not suggest Falcon rods.
I have been throwing a C-rig for over 40+ years now. So, there you go. Simple as that.

BTW if you are a surgeon and like to fish you can throw a C-rig. If you are not a surgeon but have a different job, you can throw a C-rig also, and even better, if you are retired and have no job you can throw the C-rig even more.
So you say the skill is where and how you drag it, not what you drag it with...your words. Well the best place to drag it is in the water where the fish are, anywhere in the lake from shallow water to deep. . You say it doesn't matter what you drag it with according to you so you are saying a Walmart rod and reel combo would do just as good as more sensitive equipment? Ask yourself why have many people that fish a C-rig quite a bit have switched from mono as their main line to fluorocarbon or braid if what you drag it with does not matter. I will let you figure that one out for yourself.
Now, time for you to move on and find a forum in your own state, you are not welcome here.

Why hate, I thought we were all supposed to have thick skin around here.

I hope you genuinely laughed at my joke, that was my intent, to brighten grout scouts day if only just a little bit

He doesn’t happen to live over there near those rickety ones you could rent at monti does he?

EZBASSIN, which rod did you end up suggesting to your friend? I was always surprised how much support TFF gave Dobyns being it was a Cali based company, now it seems like they’re in TX and there is much less buzz around them, what happend?
