You couldn't pay me to enter Mexico right now. Hopefully they eventually clean up their mess so I can go fish Sugar Lake without gambling my life.

Pete's wife Hannah booked my first ever bass fishing trip to Mexico for March 2024 - combo trip to Picachos and El Salto. I highly recommend using Hannah to book fishing trips. You can reach her in the link Pete posted. And I have read every one of those Mexico articles 10 times!! Can't wait for March!

Thanks for the kind words. I definitely married up -- and to think that when we met 20 years ago she'd never fished, and now she's traveling all over the world chasing our dreams together.
Yes, she has a sister. No, she doesn't fish, and likely couldn't be convinced to do so. frown

Can't tell if sarcasm. The threat of kidnapping is very real down there.

I get your point. EVERYTHING you do is “safe till it’s not”. Flying, driving, going to downtown Chicago….and yes Mexico has its own challenges and hazards. IF you are the RARE bass fisherman who has trouble in Mexico then fishing in Mexico will be called the “dumbest thing you could have ever done”. Part of MY decision making for fishing Mexico (or not) is the fact that(while horrific for Charlie Haralson at the time) we have to keep bringing up a story that is almost 20 YEARS OLD NOW as our “example” for why it’s so dangerous to bass fish in Mexico. Give me ALL the other examples(DATA) for decision making. The examples are so RARE. IF you are in a wreck tomorrow I’ll bet you will wish you hadn’t drove a vehicle that day. Everyone has to make their OWN decisions for what “risks” they will allow in their lives.
