I took Fork off my list years ago. It was so good for so long but all good things come to an end. Yes, even the mighty Lake Fork has fallen from grace.

Fork- Back in the 90's. Caught LOTS of big fish there (no double digits) but plenty of heavy 8's and 9's.
Cypress Springs- Back when it had grass. I had one point there (when there was grass) that I could always catch a heavy limit. Won a few club tournaments there.
Purtis Creek - Back when it had grass. A fantastic fishery. Had MANY great trips there. Never caught a really big fish there but lots of them.
Bob Sandlin- Now and in the past. Just a great lake to fish.
I'll add Athens. Many great trips there. And Ray Roberts in the early days.

1- Houston County ; Caught my PB and first DD here this past summer, and have fished this lake a ton. ALWAYS a fantastic time 2- Sam Rayburn ; Grew up fishing this lake with my Dad who was from Lufkin 3- Nacogdoches ; Had a badass day here a few years ago. Lots of good quality fish all day 4- Pinkston ; Hidden gem no one needs to know about

Fayette - A number of epic days. One with 3 guys and 100 over 5#. Stupid how schooled they were and how close to the ramp. Same ramp the buzzards ate the rubber on my truck years later. Another time years later same 3 guys 162 fish.
Conroe- caught them there good in the 90โs when I fished tournaments on the lake. Quite a few 25# plus stringers offshore on CRig May thru July.
Maine - canโt remember the lake name but on a $200 guide trip we caught 4 and 5# small mouth all day.
Mille Lacs - I would like to have a place on that lake and fish opener thru Sept. get away from the heat. Super fun to catch solid smallmouth there.
Got to get to St Lawrence.
