What type of Christmas tree do you and your family like? We have an artificial with out lights. I like putting on my own lights so I can change it up every so often. Plus, it was only $100.00 three years ago for a 7 footer. Personally, I prefer a real tree but hate dealing with the mess.
If you like a real tree, flocked or unflocked? I never had a flocked tree but my wife grew up with them in her house.

Arty, the real tree selection around here is poor. Once in a while we'll get a live tree and then put in the yard for a slow death.

We bought one of the really slender lighted fake trees last year. Takes up a lot less space in the house and looks great.

We did the real tree for 20+ years, got a prelit artificial 3 years ago and it’s definitely easier. Only drawback is storing it, it doesn’t go back into the box like it was ever in there to begin with

The 1st time I saw video of a real tree that caught fire, i vowed to never have a real tree in the house again. Fake and prelit in our house.

They make large canvas bags with full length zippers that make storing a fake tree so much easier than trying to stuff it back in a box.

We've used artificial for over 30 years. At the cost of real trees these days you only need to use a fake one for 2-3 years to be ahead of the game moneywise.

I guess I'm lucky. I am able to get mine back in the box and tape it back up. However, I refuse to lug it back up into the attic. I keep it in a spare closet. It does take a while to "fluff" it back out every year. Christmas smells are the greatest. Aside from a good campfire or BBQ.
