Yes, and I stand by my statement. Feel free to say whatever you want about insulin resistance... I will respond accordingly if needed.

No need to argue with people stuck in the 60s, hopefully your children and grand children learn a better way.

If it works for you great, just like any other new diet that pops up... it you over eat you are going to gain weight, if you count calories and maintain below your maintenance level you will lose weight. I find i do best when i just eat clean non processed foods because those are generally lower in calroies and are more filling. Carnivore diet would generally follow that because you are eating a lot of unprocessed meats

I done it for 3+ months last year and actually felt pretty darn good and dropped 20+ pounds. Im kicking around the idea of starting it up again.

Here is a list of the things I would eat...
I cheated the entire time with ketchup and sauces that didnt contain vegetable oil and very little sugar and also sugar free Monster (I know)

Bacon
Eggs
Chicken Wings
Different Cheeses
Pork Skins
hamburgers
Steak
Beef Jerky
Brats
Ribs

Overall, not a bad "diet" to be on and is very hard to over eat.

You better get some fiber in there or you gonna get stopped up lol,

I need carbs to fuel my workouts. The difference is night and day in the gym with carbs. I’m not trying to lose weight though. For those simply trying to lose weight and nothing else, low carb works, but is it sustainable long term??

WRONG

He is actually correct. Removing carbs, sugars, etc from diet is an easy way to get calorie deficient. Way easier than calorie counting. You damn near can't eat enough meat to put you in calorie surplus. My wife and I have done low carb for a long time. She has been at it for 20 years. We have read the stuff. He is right. Now it is true that low carb lowers insulin spikes so you won't get nearly as hungry as something like weight watchers which is just calorie counting and sugar. Yall shake hands and go be healthy

And if you don't believe me try eating a double cheeseburger with fries every day for 2 weeks and nothing else..... see what happens. You will either not gain anything or more likely lose wieght.

I think there's some documentary somewhere where this dude ate nothing but twinkies for a month and lost a ton of weight. He would eat 1 twinkie every couple hours or whatever was enough for him to be in an appropriate deficit. It was just a proof of concept or whatever, nothing scientific. It's obviously terrible in terms of nutrition and not sustainable but it proved his point which was that WHAT you eat isn't nearly as important as how MUCH you eat when it comes to weight loss.

You will lose weight if 3000 calories is deficient for your body size and activity level. I'm a big fan of low carb, Atkins, carnivore. Etc I think it's the easiest way to manage calories and still have a little fun in your life.
