Just remember the key to the keto diet is not just removing carbs as your primary fuel source, but replacing that with fats. At least 50% of your calories should come from “good” fat sources to do keto right. Most people I’ve seen do upwards of 80% protein and that is what causes most of the health concerns with the keto diet.

My wife did it to finalize her cutting. She can stick to any program. Very dedicated. Now shes bulking basically eating heavy fat carnivore.

Her weight training gains hasn't been what she wanted and she is a smaller woman. Her diet is all over the place but it works for her.

This type of "diet" can get people off all kinds of meds and their C-pap machines.

I eat low carb about 90 percent of time. Working out gives me a little room for carbs. It works. You just have to be more proud than you are lazy.

I eat carbs, fats, and protein, but I eat clean/whole foods and the rare piece of birthday/celebration cake...down 128.2 pounds since 9/1/21. BP is 106/64 most days and resting heart rate is 58. 28.5 inches off my waist and 12 inches off the chest. Only have 19.8 pounds to go to reach my goal.

Do what works for you.

My wife did the keto she went from 107 to 92 lbs

I live a Keto/Carnivore lifestyle, Only way to go in my opinion.

I will occasional jam on some high carb stuff like chips an hot sauce and tacos and tamales

I have maintained a high meat low carb lifestyle for decades now.

I was going thru a divorce about 16 years ago and because of it I was trying to save money. Lived on peanut butter and jelly. Pretty soon into that I started getting massive headaches that I learned were caused by blood sugar spikes. Started low carb then and been doing it ever since. I still cheat some and have to have my ketchup but it works well for me. Eat lots of deer meat and fish.

Good job there Bigbob! Can you tell a difference in the way you feel after losing that?

99% carnivore since August 2022. Once you get past the 6-month mark (if you don't cheat) ................ everything changes and you don't even think about eating other things.

If the goal is weight loss, calories in vs calories out is the only thing that matters. It's simple physics.
