It seems like a foreign country at times, especially if you have to deal with the folks that live back in those swamps.

I lived and worked in LaPlace (about 20 miles north of New Orleans) for about a year back in the 80s. Had a crew of about 25 working for me and all of them had those names that ended in "eaux". The ones who lived back in the swamps spoke that Southern Louisiana Cajun that was really hard to understand.

I used to fish out of mouth of the river quite a bit years ago. Always enjoyed it. Fun place, not sure I’d like to live there. Good people but it’s different.

I have to say those are the most interesting photos I've seen in quite a while. I've never seen water craft like that. Like space capsules. Really cool stuff, thanks for sharing Mark. thumb

I would think they use the pods as sleeping units, waterproof, snakeproof and gator proof..
