I guess my role tonight, as usual, is captain obvious...question is since it's obvious that Cooper Rush isn't your future and it's clear to all sane people that Dak isn't either...why is Lance 3rd string, why is he inactive, and why is Dak on the field in a blowout....seems like an obvious chance to figure out what you have...why did Jerry make the trade for someone who is inactive? 4th round pick for a guy who isn't even dressing? Are they really that lost? (rhetorical question...)

I'm not sure yiu can call them lost when you didn't even realize he was inactive for the game. I don't think it works that way. Let's be real they are paying Dak like he is their future and are about to give him a new contract that is even bigger abd better. Do you really think they are gonna bench him for Lance?

A 4th rounder is not a high price to pay for a good backup QB. Tge reason Lance is sitting is he us still not up to speed on the Cowboys offense as ge had zero off season or training camp to digest it and he gets maybe 5-10 reps at practice with the starters if he is lucky. It's common sense why he is being vrought up to speed slowly. Tgere is no reason to rush it at all.

I think Lance is the emergency QB, only way he can come in is if all other QB's are injured. As far as leaving players in a game late into the 4th quarter that is a blow out, I think it may have something to do with players not being allowed to reach incentives that could pay them more money, just a wild guess.

Bench him for Lance? No. Give Lance some snaps to avoid Dak being injured while giving Trey a chance to run the part of the playbook he's familiar with against a real NFL defense? I'd think that's reasonable.

Yeah, they're about to give Dak a new contract which will be just as dumb and unproductive towards winning a super bowl as the last one. Just frustrating I guess is my point. If we aren't gonna use a 30-point game to start building for the future, when are we gonna do it?
