Both of my bases are threaded while only the stern light has a threaded connector. My bow light connector is not threaded and I have done some searching and have not found a bow light with a threaded connector. I hate to just buy a cheap stern light to get the threaded connector. I could buy a stern light and have a spare but I already have a spare.

Thought about if. I found a Perko collar kit that has threaded collars but seller wants $11 shipping for a $15 item.

You might read the Tx Parks & Wildlife Regs on boat lighting. I just read that the lights have to be USCG approved, with red & green side lights visible for one mile and the white all-around visible for two miles. Y'all think LED lights on the bow will pass? IslandJim

IslandJim I can promise you they will, led has a much farther range than filament type, they also reflect for a broader area off the water.

Being able to be seen is more important than being USCG approved! IslandJim

they might have threaded lights. It has been a while but looked at both and did not see any bow lights with threaded collars. I don't recall even seeing any stern lights with threaded collars at either one. I think after Thursday's trip to Tawok it will be a while before I fish again so not a priority right now.
