Texas, Houston and Seattle are all with 1/2 game of each other. Texas and Seattle have 10 games left and Houston has 9.

Texas has 3 games at home, starting tonight, with Seattle. Then 3 games at the Angels and finishing with 4 at Seattle.

Houston has 3 games at home with KC, then 3 games at Seattle, and finishing with 3 at Arizona.

Seattle has the 3 games here with the Rangers, then 3 at home with the Disastros and the final 4 with Texas at home.

This may go down to the final game and may even be decided by tie-breakers.

Plus, there's Toronto, who's still in the wild card mix for a playoff spot. Nine games left: 3 at TB, 3 at home with the Yankees and finishing with 3 at home with TB. Nothing easy there either.

Yeah it’s pretty good baseball. Be interesting to see how it comes out. Not much spread between the three. I’ll be watching the Stros tonight. Might even cook and drink a little beer.

It’s certainly better than us rangers fans have endured for the past few years. I just wish the rangers hadn’t backed up so much. But time to get hot

I’m happy that baseball in September is relevant again here.

None of the teams are making the playoff push that is expected of a potential champion. The Astros' pitching hasn't been as solid as in recent years, even Verlander and Valdez. The set up men have been outstanding, but Pressly has blown a few leads trying to close.

Altuve has been great...MVP quality when he has played...and Tucker is having an outstanding season, but Alvarez hasn't hit lately.

Additional facts:

The Rangers are 5-1 versus the Mariners for the season.

Houston is 2-8 against Seattle. The Stros haven't played the Diamondbacks yet this season.

Houston has a 36-43 record vs. teams with a winning record. Six of the nine remaining games are against teams with winning records.

The best thing for Houston about the rest of the season is that the Rangers and Mariners play each other seven times. Someone has to lose every one of those games.

Nice if we could snag 2 from the M's. Maybe the appearance of Juan Gonzalez this weekend will be a spark plug for the team. Really wish I was going to see him tonight. Dude was solid for the Rangers. Not sure why he had such a cold shoulder towards the organization for so long, but glad he is back.

I'm about to buy ALDS tix when they go on sale at 11am thus ensuring the Raners make the playoffs.

I got mine for the 5th game. I believe that requires the Rangers to win the division doesn't it?

If they go to the next level I'll get tickets to two games.
