I just picked up our new-to-us Tracker 190 and am trying to find out more information about fees and access to surrounding lakes. Hoping you all may have some pointers or knowledge to help out so we don't get hung up on something silly when going to a new lake.

  • Are there any "Texas Lake Passes" that cover a wide range of lakes? I'm assuming a State Parks pass might cover them, but I have not been able to confirm that yet.
  • If such a magic permit does not exist, are the fees typically paid with cash/check in a box? via Card at a kiosk? What can we expect?

Lakes I am interested in visiting:
  • Ray Roberts
  • Lewisville
  • Grapevine
  • Bridgeport
  • Nocona
  • Randel
  • Eagle Mountain
  • Muenster

Ray Roberts is 7 a person or 70 for a pass , good for any Texas State Parks . You can pay 7 dollars at any ramp on RR , they have a pay box..

I'll do my best to help here:

Ray Roberts: Already provided above. The $70 gets you access to several other state corps of engineering lakes.

Lewisville: Has several locations to launch from $5 - $10. There's a few ramps that will provide a box to get a yearly pass that's $65 but if I remember correctly only good for a few ramps.

Grapevine: Has several locations to launch from $5 - $10. Annual pass Resident = $40 ; Non-resident = $80

Bridgeport: Haven't seen any pay parking on this lake. You can park at Wise County or Runaway Bay for free.

Eagle Mountain: You're paying a premium here. Most marinas will charge you what they can for parking as they are privately owned.

Grapevine is a Kiosk and you enter your license plate on your vehicle.

Lewisville-

$65 resident $100 non resident of Lewisville. Can use at Lake Park and Tower Bay.

$65 resident $100 non resident of Hickory Creek. Can use Arrowhead, Point Vista, Pilot Knoll

I’m sure there is one for Highland Village too but I live and use the others

Not sure this will work for you.

Depending on your age any army corp lake you can use lifetime pass to access lakes.....got mine when 62 think it was less than $100 from national park and it is good at most state and federal park.

Thanks everyone for the info!

I bought the State Park pass and we'll try our luck with Ray Bob before branching out.
