He bought it thinking the state did not want it.
How do you think its right for him to lose money when the state comes in after the fact and tries to take what is rightfully his?
The laws on eminent domain are clear. The value is market value at the time of the meeting.
In my mind its what a person can expect to be able to buy the place for if he was willing to sell.
I do not understand those that think he should take a loss.
you don't get to add in future "maybe" money, valuation at time of meeting will be for any development already done, not what is speculated to be done. if it is worth the 9+ million at the time of the meeting then that is the value, period, end of conversation.

How much longer is this going to go on??? Who knows it’s how the government works It’s like a government mushroom. Feed you [censored] and keep you in the dark?  This will go on till the grand opening g of the golf course. Hell…even then, the locals will keep talking about how Todd is gonna lose the land, get paid back half of what he spent, how the State should spend $100,000,000 to make $5. I think we have all fished that lake for the last time a few months ago.

I believe they notified the county that they were going ahead with this on Sept 1 so according to the timeline I have read, they can start making plans for the meeting and appoint commissioners tomorrow. They can do it later but the rules I read said they could not do it for 20 days.
I am wrong but you can not prove it, you just believe it enough from the bottom of your heart.....
