I am not a Cowboy fan but like watching Texas teams. The Giants did not show up nor did their O-line want to protect that QB.

I'm pumped too - fun game to watch.

First regular season game any of my family (me included) had seen in person was the Washington game a couple years ago after my dad died and we got my mom tickets with all of us. We beat washington like 50-something to 7 I think it was and the stands went from football game to football party sometime in the 2nd quarter. This game against NYG reminded me of that. Just a full/thorough throttling in every aspect of the game.

I do share the concern about smashmouth football. But today is a day for celebration, not hypothetical concerns.

yep I hope cowboy fans geta playoff win this year. I ain't even against them winning a SB. I am not a fan but like good athletes and I like Dax and think with this defense he is good enough. I will be really surprised if he ever carries a team.

Anytime a team shuts out another NFL team I think of the 85 Bears defense and no I am not comparing this Cowboy defense to that one. Yet but they have a good one for sure.

Congrats on a surprising win

Lotta surprises in 2021 and 2021. 24 to be exact in the regular season.

I wasn't surprised by the Cowboy defense and I'm looking forward to the offense getting in sync. Not playing in preseason shows up as rust on the offense. This D has been getting to this point under Quinn for 2 years with some of the core defensive guys being under his system the whole time. I think the offense will be adequate to really good.

Philly did not play well and should have lost....Skins barely beat the concensus worst team in the NFL and trailed a good bit of it.....these are facts

I think this is spot on and sorta what I was meaning. I believe the defense has the potential to be really good can they carry them like the 85 bears we will see if so you may finally get a late season run, may even get into the SB. They have looked good for a couple years they were just thin in to many areas. They seems to be stout now. I wish ya'll the best
You still have to go thorugh some pretty good quarterbacks in the AFC to get a win.

The Cowboys are good. Can they beat the 49ers and or the Eagles in the playoffs is the question.

They smashed the Brady’s in the 1st round of the playoffs last year.

OK Brady has how many SB rings over last 20 years, remind me of how many Cowboy SB rings in the same 20 year period

This is a really romantic article about 1 game...it's 1 game against a pretty average team that was 9-7-1 last year and largely unchanged. Yes we won 40-0 and it was fun, but it's 1 game.

Cowboys front office makes great decisions on the bottom 48 roster spots every year - they find guys and make talent upgrades that cost very little. It's the top 5 slots they repeatedly mis-manage...which is why they haven't even been to a conf championship in almost 30 years. If you want to win big games, you have to get the big decisions right. They get the small decisions right and it helps them stay relevant and that's really all they've done for 3 decades now - stay relevant but not threaten anyone.

Reminder from a math standpoint, 2 out of 16 teams make it to the NFC championship every year. So it should be 1 appearance every 8 years. If the cowboys were performing at even an average level, they'd have made it 3-4 times by now to the NFC championship. Maybe they'll make it this year...it's only 1 week in, but the NFC looks pretty weak.
