last weeks results: vs spread:3-4 straight up 3-0
this weeks games: 20 Ole Miss -7.5 @ 24 Tulane The Green Wave (Mascot that scares me) will have to depend on QB Matt Pratt to have another big game. A week after going 14 of 15 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns. But Tulane will have their biggest problem on defense where top LB Corey Platt, who has a lower left leg injury, won't be able to suit up and that it's not clear when he'll come back. Against South Alabama last week, Platt led Tulane with 15 total tackles, including one sack. Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart is coming off a week where he passed for 334 yards and four TDs, including three scoring strikes of 20 or more yards. His longest TD pass went to Tre Harris from 38 yards out. Look for a good game here. Ole miss win pull it out on the road, but they will not cover. Ole Miss 30 TUL 25.
23 Texas A&M -4 @ Miami New Aggies starting quarterback Conner Weigman became the first Aggie to pass for five touchdowns in regulation since Johnny Manziel in 2013. He finished 18 of 23 with 236 yards passing before heading to the sideline in the fourth quarter, in the Aggies win over New Mexico. The No. 23 Aggies will enter Saturday's matchup with the Hurricanes coming off a 52-10 rout of New Mexico and hungry to capitalize off that momentum after a disappointing 2022 season. The Aggies last scored 52 points in a 2021 win over Prairie View A&M. The last time they scored that many points against an FBS opponent was in a 74-72 win over LSU in 2018, a game that went to seven overtimes. The Aggies boast one of the biggest and most talented defensive fronts in the country and will pose a challenge for Miami's runners, who recorded 250 yards on the ground last week. Miami will need RB Henry Parrish Jr to get past that defensive front to keep control of the ball and the clock for the Cains to win this game. I think the Aggies defense is just going to be too much for the Cains in this one. Aggies win 42-33 Aggies cover.
11 Texas @ 3 Alabama -7 This is the game of the week and the game that's been circled on the Texas calendrer since last years one point loss in Austin. Both teams are replacing first-round NFL draft picks in the backfield. Texas running back Bijan Robinson was picked eighth, four spots ahead of Alabama's Jahmyr Gibbs. Highly touted freshman CJ Baxter started the Longhorns' opener and had a 32-yard run before going down with an injury. He has practiced this week. Three other Texas backs ran for at least 40 yards. Alabama counters with veterans Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams, along with some younger backs. The game should feature some battles between one of the Big 12’s best receivers, Xavier Worthy, and Alabama’s star cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry. But Texas slot receiver Jordon Whittington had five catches in the first quarter of last season’s game, and the Longhorns added Georgia transfer Adonai Mitchell to the mix. Alabama defensive backs Malachi Moore and Jaylen Key are both battling injuries, leaving their status uncertain. The kickers played huge roles in last year's game. Reichard's 33-yarder with 10 seconds left was his first game-winner since the third grade. For Texas, Bert Auburn kicked four field goals in the game with a long from 49 yards. Last year Texas starting QB Quinn Ewers went down with an injury in the first quarter. That wont happen this year. That makes the difference in this game. Both teams have massive defensive lines that are stout, and will make running the ball tough. Texas goes on the road and wins this revenge game this year as they stay healthy. Texas 30 Bama 24 Texas covers.
other games vs the spread: Oregon -6.5 covers vs TT Stanford +29.5 covers vs USC Utah -8 covers vs Baylor NCST +7.5 covers vs ND
have a great college football Saturday folks and enjoy the games.

Sorry but I can’t see the Horns beating Bama in Tuscaloosa. Same here, I don't think it will be a wide margin but pretty sure Bama wins this one.

Texas 30 Bama 24 Texas covers
As Lee Corso would say - Not so fast my friends. - Bama has a coach who does not lose to his former assistant coaches, except for Kirby. In fact, that record is 28-2, but Texas does get 7 points per Vegas so that might happen.

It will snow here in the Metroplex on Saturday at least 48 inches” before Texas goes in and beats Alabama at home. You need to use your brain for that pic, not your heart.

A better Alabama team than the one they have this year stole one in Austin by 1 point over Texas, who was far less talented overall last year than this year. IF Sark spreads the field offensively I like our odds. Defensively the only variable that scares me is MIlroe's feet. Playing in Tuscaloosa also has it's perils. I feel like IF Texas executes their game plan and can win the turnover battle then they leave Alabama with a win. What you saw against Rice was about a stripped down a game plan as they could muster, anyone that thinks Sark was going to show anymore than he had to is kidding themselves. My heart lies with my Horns, and my head leans towards Texas. Hook Em'
