This is the rock wall they built on my fence line. A wood fence will be put up on top of this.

Go talk to the building inspector and see if there’s anything he can do. Pretty crappy to leave it like that. I could not care less. I don't live on that property, it's on our old farm place. I only have to look at it when I'm there checking on my cows, and they put up a new barbed wire fence on my side of their POS. it's hard to see in the picture but it is there. That stretch of fence is about 800 yards.

That rock fence is finished. All the pretty mortar is on the homeowner’s side and that’s all they’ll ever see. They’ll think oh how beautiful? Cutting corners IMO.

2023 DR Horton, just a few rungs on the ladder worse than Fox & Jacobs from the 80's. I was a framer helper in 1984 building General Homes in west Plano. I think the deal was that you picked out your house plan and it would be ready to move in in 60 days or something like that. You wouldn't believe the shortcuts that were taken. I'm surprised most of those houses haven't fallen over.

Looks good to me. Looks solid, like a wall that'll still be there in a 100 years.

That’s typically how they leave them when they are getting backfilled. If it bordered my property I would want it done right. Even if it was just a cow pasture.

DRH is way above fox and jacobs quality. My first house was F&J and they used 2x4 for ceiling joists. Couldn't store anything in the attic. Garage too small for anything other than a honda civic. Didn't love the house at all.
Buddies live in DRH and it's light years ahead of that.
But I suspect they take the lowest bidder on the rock wall and pay them to fix it if there are issues before the neighborhood is built out.

If you get grass I wouldn't mow to close to that you might get hit by a copperhead.
Interesting if that's the finished product.

This is what the first 500 yards of my fence line looks like. Now the second phase has began and I guess on the job training is not so good.

Oh no - God that looks like sheet man. Yea, that's the new guys who said, sure we know how to build a wall. Building foreman should be fired. And if the city approved that, shame on them. Couldn't have used cheaper materials on that fence either.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole dam thing blows over in a storm.
