What’s the best mini(finesse type) buzzbait that y’all would recommend for bass? Price not being a factor. Looking to stock up with a quality version. Thanks in advance.

Don't throw much finesse stuff but the original Lunker Lure is hard to beat

Lunker Lure,,,,still my favorite buzz bait. I have quite a few of them.

Crimp the rivet that holds the blade on with a pair of pliers so it will no longer rotate. Then hold it out the window as you drive to the lake until you hear it making a squealing sound. At that point, it is ready for use. Just make sure and not drop it on the road while you are tuning it. Did that once by accident. LOL

For some reason that noisy blade seems to help out. Another suggestion to go with your finesse top water buzzing is a clear and or bone colored tiny torpedo. I was throwing a buzz bait one morning many years ago on Fork (when it had a lot of grass in it) and made several casts with no luck while a buddy of mine was tying on a tiny torpedo. I made about 10 casts before he was done and said,,,,I should have gotten bit by now, this is a perfect morning for a buzz bait. He tossed out the tiny torpedo and didn't even get half way back to the boat and one smacked it. They wore it out that morning. They wanted the torpedo instead of the buzz bait.

Hmmm…they wanted it a little more subtle. That can definitely be a follow up when the buzz isn’t working. Thanks for the great tips.

I tied 7 new Lunker Lures to the back running light on my boat before I left home one morning. When I got to the ramp I only had 5 left!!

Well, with you rolling through stop signs and hitting most of the traffic lights green.... that was all I could get. But thank you for those two.

I have had similar experiences with the smaller whopper plopper style baits too.

Lunker Lure is still my favorite buzz bait.
A long time ago, if you'll remember John Fox, he was giving a fishing seminar in Fort Worth.
I went with a friend of mine and Fox stood on the stage and said that he had just set a new Bass fishing record on Toledo Bend with this new lure, Of course he brought about 250 Lunker Lures to sell.
Fox told us his fishing story, which was a lie, but he also told us about holding the bait outside the car window as we were driving to the lake. Well, as we drove down to Granbury Lake the next morning, { good lake at the time} we were passed by two other trucks pulling bass boats, both holding their lures out of the windows as instructed.
I thought that was kinda funny.
Still have a bunch and use them all the time

Good Luck
