Looking at some of the names I was thinking how did they come up with that. Let us know if there is a good story behind it.
Mine came from a professor I had in collage, Harold he was a heck of a angler and we became friends and would go fishing almost every weekend. He only fished with some kind of worm and he would say "son! they hit it on the fall that slack line will get you a dime!". Harold was about 6'5" and 425lbs from the back woods of Alabama good man.
Do something different, you will be surprised what happens. 2020 Xpress H20B 115 Yamaha SHO

I always went fishing with my dog, Gracie Belle, and when we would come back in just before the dock there was a bridge and an old black man was always fishing under the bridge, His last name was Jones, I just called him Mr. Jones. I would call out to him , you need any fish I have a few in my live-well and he would jump up and meet me at the dock and I would give him what I had and he always petted Gracie and if he had any wienies or other goodies that he had in his lunch bag when fishing. So we traded out food for Gracie for fish. If I was fishing on another lake or some other ramp on the lake he was at, I didn't keep any fish, I always threw them back. If Mr. Jones wasn't there when I came in I would let the fish go at the dock. I only kept them for Mr. Jones, He was a nice old man who I found a liking to. So, that how DOG - FISH - JONES came about.
P.S. I heard Mr. Jones passed away about two years ago. I knew I had not seen him in awhile and I ask another guy that was fishing under the bridge about him, and he said that he passed away. I wished I would have know that, I would have went to his funeral for sure. Mr. Jones passed away, Gracie passed away this past June, and I do not keep any fish when i come back in. I always look over there when i come back in and remember him and Gracie would always be part of my fishing trip.

I have a few screen names. I use Grasshopperglock so people can track me to other websites. Allowing some history.
The name itself is actually history. I've been at forum boards since 1998.

My grandmother used to joke that I would wet a hook in a mudhole given the opportunity. I did some pretty crazy stuff in my youth to access some water I thought held fish (any fish) and may have fractured a statute or 2.
Grateful for every sunrise and sunset I get to witness. - Jason

I started here with the name Ranger3 because I had owned 3 Ranger boats in the past. When I bought my Allison in 2005 I changed the name to Allison1.............several people thought I was a girl.
Ken ^^^^ called my 150 optimax on my boat a "trolling motor". I'll never forget that.
I am wrong but you can not prove it, you just believe it enough from the bottom of your heart.....
