HUH? What type of Mexican restaurants are you going to? Only ones I've seen that do that have been in NM. I haven't seen it in Texas...YET. Then again, I don't eat out much anymore.

Not sure if it's still the case, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's, Discover charged 6% to use their card, and I think AmEX was 5 or 5.5%, which is why a lot of places wouldn't accept them. So, just in case it's still true, if I see a surcharge for using a card before I pay, I use my Discover.
