3% surcharge for using CC at some restaurants, having to pay for water and condiments at restaurants. They charge for sacks at some supermarkets. Wi-Fi / internet bill.

on positive note we don’t have ma bell and remember how they used to gouge when you had to make a collect call…… If my car with my dog in it rightfully gets towed from the Applebees “To-Go Only” parking spot while I’m dining in, I can just use my cell phone now.

Don't know what my parents spent on me growing up, I didn't want for much though. I can tell you it would pale in comparison to what we spend on children these days whether it be on bare necessities or luxuries.

No free chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants. How unamerican. HUH? What type of Mexican restaurants are you going to? Only ones I've seen that do that have been in NM. I haven't seen it in Texas...YET. Then again, I don't eat out much anymore.

Not sure if it's still the case, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's, Discover charged 6% to use their card, and I think AmEX was 5 or 5.5%, which is why a lot of places wouldn't accept them. So, just in case it's still true, if I see a surcharge for using a card before I pay, I use my Discover.

I was at a restaurant not long ago and ordered a cocktail. The waiter asked if I wanted a single big ice cube and I accepted. When I got the bill, there was a $2 charge for the “rock” ice cube.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.
