Is it possible to catch summer time crappie in rivers/creeks provided they are deep enough? Crappie going deep in summer/winter is another one of those big myths associated with crappie fishing..... You can find crappie year round on most any lake in 8 to 15fow..... Best advice I can give is GO FISHN and start shallow and work your way out deeper till you find where they are preferring to be.....

@JakeMcD I haven't did much bank fishing lately but a few years ago I did a lot of it while working out of town.... Fish under bridges, find docks that are open to the public, you can also look at the lakes you fish on a map and find areas with drop off's close to the bank that's accessible and while you're out be on the lookout for any kind of structure that's within casting distance..... It will take some leg work but you can catch crappie from the bank year round..... Good Luck!
