Comparing an Ikon to a Bugatti is hilarious.

It is hilarious that you think I was making that comparison. I'll simplify it for ya. Some people buy the very expensive toys , who cares?

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Why do you think everything these days is over priced compared to a few years ago??? Because people are willing to pay crazy prices for everything and businesses just keep going up on their prices. People need to learn how to negotiate. Shimano has a new rod on the market and it is $880.00. Crazy. I am not knocking the boat, it may be a great boat and it appears to be, but how does a $100,000+ boat help you catch any more fish than a $30,000 boat. Im talking about the boat, not the electronics on the boat.

How does an 80K dollar truck get you to work any better than a 30K dollar truck ? I am guilty, I like the finest things I can afford, just the way it is.

I put about 20k miles a year on my truck. If I’m spending that much time behind the wheel I want all the creature comforts and tech available. My boat on the other hand may get used once a week or so. I can live with it being 6 years old. When I retire in a year or two I’m going all out on a new one.
