A friend ordered a Simmons for his place down in Padre. It takes a while to get one built

They are on my top 3 boats!

Eric Simmons told me if I gave him a 10% deposit it would be ready in 14 mos

Flats and bay boats have always been overpriced. After living in the coastal bend I think it's because the heat and humidity melted the brains of the people living down there so they will pay over $100k for a flats boat.

I don’t think so. I think people are resistant to the koolaide.

Ok, a new expensive boat brand is now koolaide, that’s a new one.

It’s not a boat I would be interested in but judging by the comments, it’s price tag is what triggers most.

The target audience for the boat has got to be retired people. They are a big sled. Imagine tournament fishing and running to your first spot and get passed by a ranger. Lol

Now thats funny

Sometimes I get my skeeter out in rough water and listen to it bang waves, spray water in my face, and spit out random bolts and nuts onto the floor and swear I'm getting rid of it and buying a Vexus or an Ikon boat......Then I look at the $130,000 + price of these boats and decide that good rain gear, chiropractic care, and a plastic bag to store the random nuts and bolts are really all pretty affordable. I just can't bring myself to pay what these new boats cost.

I find random screws on the floor of my skeeter from time to time. Never have found out where they go. I assume they left a box of 1” panhead stainless screws in the boat somewhere when they were building it. clap

For all you paupers crying about Icons price, here's their parent company HCB's target audience. Their top of the line HCB 65 Estrella with a starting price over $4.5m and a 2 year waiting list. Their don't care at all about you're paid for 1998 Skeeter.

No need for one. Pic shows 7 Marine outboards but with New Mercs and their Smart Controls with Joystick Piloting it can control the motors to hold in place.

I wish they’d bring back the bay bolt.

The motors in the pic are from Seven Marine which was sold to Volvo about 3 years ago then they ceased production. 627hp GM LSA 6.2 liter blocks were used.

He's talking about an engine manufacturer by 7 Marine, owned by Volvo... Dan
