Hello all,
10yrs ago, my dad traded a nice rifle for a 2006 Mercury 8hp 2stroke outboard. It was previously on a jonboat for a pond that was never used. We put it on my grandpas jon boat and used it maybe a total of 20hrs run time.
I am considering selling it now that i dont need it. I am having trouble finding a ballpark value. Any help on this would be great!
Also, i dont have a title for it. But im not sure if that is required? Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a good starting point. Look around on the interweb and see if you can find any similar year motors for sale. https://www.jdpower.com/boats/2006/mercury/outboard-motors

Elect. Start = Low Retail-$630 Avg. Retail $710

Manual Start = Low Retail-$580 Avg. Retail $650

Motor is supposed to be titled. You'll need to contact TPWC about how to obtain one.

Thanks for the link and information. I appreciate it. Im hoping a title for a small outboard isnt as hard to get as a boat. I have been told those are almost impossible.

it is simple if when it was purchased they went down an transferred it an paid taxes on it unfortunatly that doesnt happen not very often on small motors. an sometimes when you go in to do it the right way it will come up as stolen .

Thank you for that info as well. Unfortunately, this was a deal between my dad and one of his employees. No title or taxes handled that i know of. 1 guy really liked the German .22lr rifle and 1 guy needed a small outboard. I may call and just see what they say, but i know the guy he traded for it, moved to Arizona. I no longer have his contact information.
