Brandon got through his brain surgery with no issues and is resting in his room. He may be held here for a few daysfor observation.

I know he's been going through this a long time and its just another thing but it scares the dickens out of me.

My wife's brother Boyd has been going through hell due to a shunt in his head for the last three weeks. We thought we might lose him but recently they isolated the cause of an infection and have specific treatments for the bacteria and are treating it now.
He's been pretty much out of it for the last couple weeks but in the last couple days he has been awake and more cognizant of his surroundings than he had been. He's still not completely out of it but his doctor believes they can get him out of the ICU in two more days, hopefully.

Hopefully he’ll get back to normal. Took me about a year after my brain surgery. I woke up in the NICU and after a quick prayer, I wiggled my toes. Then my fingers. All systems go. I sure hope it works like that for him. It sure raises a fellow’s appreciation for life, when you have been faced with a possible abbreviated existence. Even jello tastes good.
