I did make an exception about talking in the restroom. Met Jeff Bridges in the restroom at 8.0 in downtown FW. One of my all time faves. I couldn’t believe it. He was really nice. His wife was at the bar with a friend and they were being really rude to the bartender about margaritas. They were there with T Bone Burnett for a movie festival.

I’ve met Tilman Fertitta twice, once at one of his restaurants that nearly burned down and again last month at The Steakhouse at The San Luis. He was really great and engaging both times.

Sir, I agree with you most times but George Jones has that distinction of which you speak/type. Keith Whitley would have held that distinction has Lori Morgan not killed him.

Carry on

I met his brother Beau in an Italian restaurant in Hollywood one night, but I didn't mention him because he was such an azz.

Family is everything!

Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

Worked with a guy who's brother in law was Mick Jagger. We got invited to the Stones concert in Dallas. Comped rooms at the mansion, after party and so on. Mick came and ate lunch with us at the station a lot when they were in town. He always stayed the Mansion and it was in our first alarm district. He rode out with us several times on the fire engine.

I worked part time for Hank Haney in the 90's and I met several pro golfers Payne Stewart, Mark O'Meara and a few more. Saw Tiger there a few times and got to watch him hit balls from 40 feet or so away, but he was really private and he was working so we did not bother him.

Transportred Sandy Duncan in an ambulance to Baylor Hosp.

Ate dinner a table over from Joe Burrow at Phil's in Baton Rouge.

Played golf with Charlie Pride in a scramble.

Met a lot of the Mavs in the 90's when I worked downtown near Reunion.

We bought some townhomes from Benny Barnes when I was in like 2nd grade.

As a kid in 1970 the spring after the 1969 national championship at my elementary school:
Darrell Royal
Jim Bertelsen
Ted Koy

Willie Nelson, Ray Benson and Johnny Gimble at the airport. We sat and talked for about 30 minutes.

Ann Richards at the airport. Nice lady.

Jerry Dean (Honey Hole) at a ramp on Lake Georgetown. We were the only two boats on the lake that day and saw them buzzing around. He asked if we caught anything and we sure did. He and the guide caught squat. He never aired that episode.

Sat and had a drink with Kathy Valentine, the bassist for the Go-Gos at her bar on Congress Ave. Funny as hell.

Clifford Antone. Damn fine guy.

SRV at Steamboat on The Drag. Sipped some whiskey at the bar. Very pre-bigtime.

Said hello to Sandra Bullock at her dock on Lake Austin while fishing. Beautiful woman. She said with a grin to not take her fish.

I was in the Bass Pro in Springfield quite a few years ago , browsing around. I see this guy walking my way with a white button down shirt on with all these old style sewn on patches. I was thinking to myself , look at this guy, who does he think he is , a Bass pro? Uh , yup. He was . Larry Nixon himself. That's about all I have.
