A female wolf spider. The female carries her egg sac around, after the eggs hatch the youngsters ride around awhile with Mom for protection.

Yes, that's a mama Wolf Spider with 500 or so babies on her back. When my bro and I were kids, one was on his bedroom wall - we just thought it was a big a** spider. He smacked it with a shoe and babies flew everywhere. It was quite dramatic.

As much as I dislike spiders, those actually are good for the yard....when they start coming inside, its another story
