I really believe the Bud Light deal has to be studied on its on merit and not compared to any other corporate debacles we have seen in the past. It has taken on a life of it’s own and is really unlike anything we have witnessed in a long time, or ever. It is an emotionally charged topic that is destroying a singular product and the corporation seems incapable of coming up with a recovery strategy. There will be college courses about the destruction of Bud Light as a case study.

Let's be a bit more honest...it wasn't just tgat they used that person in a promo it was more their reaction after getting called out on it plus the reply/insult from tge advertising VP to the customer base regarding why the change in marketing. They continue to screw up their response. Even their former CEO has came out and said they screwed this up royally. You've played that card before. Sort of like the UK making their Ford gay car and people saying that was over there, even though the Ford US website doubled down on it the following year. Yes, the impact from the Ford was far greater if the people had spoken up about it. The made a couple vehicles painted gay colors and gave press releases in the EU followed up by an article in the Ford news site in the US the following year. Thats what I find so odd. Bud sponsors a whole lot of people and causes for untold millions. Then they take one little, I don't know, thousand or thousands to show support for one person and that evokes the response it did. There is just no way to know which one gets the hate and which one gets the out. Ford got an out. So did GM. So you really think what Bud did was worse than others. Lets just disagree as usual. I haven't played any card before. I'm just sharing an opinion. Sorry people boycotting Bud Light upsets or triggers you so much.

People who drive Fords are generally gay so there wouldn't be much outcry.

First I've seen of this... Now where's the new release that called Coors Light drinkers neanderthals, or frat boys so they had to do something to save this iconic brew???... Like I said, I missed the ad so maybe I didn't see the press release admonishing those who spoke out against it... Dan

Just for the record, the LGQZ community ain't happy with BL either. The nation's largest LGBTQ advocacy group is taking action against Anheuser-Busch over its handling of the conservative backlash to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, accusing the multinational beer company of caving to political pressure.

I’m yet to find BL on sale anywhere lower than their competition. Kroger in Prosper had it on sale for $17.76 a case this weekend. Saw it when I was buying my normal 30 pack of stones. It looked maybe one was taken.
