I know pitbulls are built rock solid. It would be hard to hit the power switch and turn one off with just a thumping. Minus a firearm, I'd want a good blade. Try to carve his head off.

I was visiting some redneck friends over in East Texas a few years back and one ole boy told me about one of his dogs getting attacked by a stray. He said the stray was latched onto his dog and even though he had him in a head lock, he couldn't pry him loose from his dog. He didn't have any weapon on him (unusual for those boys) so he reached into his pocket and got his Bic lighter. He held it up to the strays nose, held the button for a couple of seconds and then struck the striker. He said that dog let loose and took of running like a raped ape. Hearing that country boy tell the story was classic and had me rolling on the ground laughing.

Ha...I remember seeing those there. One of the employees told me they were for hog hunting. Who tf hunts hogs with a spear??

Probably the same dudes that swim 14 feet down to let a 98 pound catfish bite their arm.

A sword cane is a good choice. They're 2-piece so the sword remains hidden until it's ready to use. Don't slash at the dog like they do in the old pirate movies, but try to run the sword down the dog's throat, or get him in the eye socket. If approaching from the rear, try to insert the sword up the dog's rectum. I have one and they're pretty well made:

When I go on my longer walks, I usually carry a knife, or my pistol depending on where I'm going during my walks.

Most older ladies walking by themselves. Carry an old fashioned walking stick. Head high length. Kinda pointy on the end touching the concrete.

Haven't seen anyone on the news so I guess it works.

Pool Ball mounted on a hip high walking, 'cane'. It's a one off an Irish club. Looks decorative.

That is the best, most concise, sales pitch I have ever heard for a neck knife.

That's the thing. Even though you know about the risk of backyard bred ghetto dogs.

You're gonna look stupid walking down the street with a freaking sword. It screams, Just go ahead and shoot me.

What are you going to do if the owner of the dog sees you swinging away at his dog. That bust the fence to get out. Brand new fence.

Killeen doesn't allow for dogs tied with chains. Big No-No.

So what are you going to do? Pull out the Ole 45' and start blasting? You'll get shot yourself.
