This is Lonny McGuffey (TD) for the tourney at PK. I was aware of an incident on going, bc I was receiving video and text from the other party. Since there was no official protest, I just figured the 2 parties handled maturely and respected each other throughout the day. Unless there is an official protest at the weigh in, there is not much I can do.
Its disappointing that you didnt contact Tackle Depot directly, maybe next time call Lisa or talk to her in person and discuss with her the actions of one her pro-staff members

To the OP, I have no issues with you complaining about and pointing out that you feel you were wronged, but stand up for yourself. I fished a tournament yesterday and had the same thing happen, I fired up the motor and put my boat where I wanted it, it was right on top of the people cutting me off. If there are no rules on too close, get a foot in front of them and cast where you want, cast on both sides of them. Make them uncomfortable.
The 2 big boys who tried that on me never made eye contact, turned and left.

If you’re gonna get upset fishing in close quarters, don’t fish a high school tourney. This seems to be a normal occurrence.

Technically it was a benefit fundraiser for a high school. There were some kids but far from high school situation.

This is why I always run a camera in tournaments. That way we can just be done with the he said she said [censored]. If it happened as you say, he deserves to be called out. Any issues that creates with him or his sponsor are between them. If it is a good sponsor they should investigate this incident and make the appropriate adjustments to their pro staff. Sometimes the only way to stop some of these guys that do this is to call them out publicly. One thing the OP needs to know is that had you not mentioned that this happened to a high school team, most everyone here would have your back. Anyone that tournament fishes knows that getting that close in front of someone without asking is not right and should not be tolerated.

You just got to get good at running defense now days. It is sad that people do it to you but you can keep them out. Just got to put the TM on high and cut them off before they can get to the spot. If you are there first.

I agree with this, if it happened as the OP said. The sponsor would be smart to talk to their representation and make sure they're being represented well.
