What is the 21’ Ikon rated for? There’s plenty of Jaguars out with 350-450hp. I mean obviously Ikon was going for more of the “luxury” market. Maybe someone could throw a 450 on one and [censored] 70 lol Then it would be a 170K dollar boat. Better get your thinking up. The 450R is mid $50k to over $60 depending on configuration. The 500R is expected to be several thousand more expensive. I guess $170k is doable if you delete electronics and trolling motor.

A fool and his money are soon parted is relative. Most people that can drop 150 grand on a boat are not fools. They are pretty smart to be able to buy it. To some it may be foolish. But it is relative to ones income. I see $90,000 trucks and $80,000 boats multiple times every day. On some boats that is not even with all the upgrades. I for one am envious of those that can afford it. 20 years ago people were saying they would never spend 60 grand on a boat. There is a market and customer base for pretty much anything.

Ken you bring both sides of the table to the dance. and you have not been bought by anyone. Your info on your boat reviews was unbiased. That's why I enjoyed it so much. I highly respect your opinion The main reason is your honesty. Thats Ken Smith Both Ken's have pretty good taste in boats lol

Very, very few of the guys who can drop $150,000 on a boat can actually afford it. The vast majority of guys rolling around in their lifted 3/4 ton trucks and $100k+ boats are barely affording the minimums. Oh, and they've got the truck on a 7+ year loan and the boat on the 15-20 year loan. Once the great credit crunch happens and unemployment actually goes up like the Federal Reserve is shooting for these boats will have their values drop pretty quickly. I feel sorry for the people who have overleveraged themselves to catch some ditch pickles.
