If you want to feed the fish go to Tractor Supply and buy a bag of Trophy Pond Fish pellets. I feed fish in ponds near my house when walking our dod they eat it up big time. I have always heard bread is about the worst thing you can feed it a pond.

I never understood the transportation thing, i think its the intent that matters. seems unenforceable.

That's what I was going to say....how would they ever know you transported them to your personal pond. as long as you're not bringing illegal size or quantity of fish.

The only issue is the clean drain dry deal. The fish being put in your private pond is legal as long as the fish are legal size but zebra muscle zealots get wound up about transporting lake water to another location in a live well. I know we are allowed to transport if in a tournament situation but technically for any other reason, we are supposed to drain the live wells at the lake. BTW, I take crappie home in a live well all the time, it is a dumb law...

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Bluegill, longear, green sunfish, pumpkin seeds, and war mouth are not game fish in Texas.
If you bring and transport them in your own water…100% legal.

It doesn't matter if they are game fish or not. It's still legal

unless they are tilapia or other invasive fish, then a permit is needed....
