A couple foot long pieces of 2x4 are helpful as a base for your jack if you are on soft ground.

Also I forgot I keep a Dewalt 20v inflator in the truck as well.

Interesting comment about flats on the way home - other than a cursory glance I never really thought about checking tires before heading home from the ramp... Will have to pay more attention.

1/2" drive torque wrench with short extension, 3/4" deep socket, and either a bottle jack or small floor jack. I only carry this stuff on trips over 1/2 hour from the house. 4 way and a 5" tall block of wood stay in my truck. I had a nice little floor jack in a case that I always carried until one night I did not lock my truck. There were 2 guys hitting unlocked vehicles in Royce City around that time. I suspect they made a pass through my neighborhood.

Where's the mushroom style tire plug kit?

To include a couple of C02 inflation cartridges?

I keep a small floor jack, 4 way, and a 3’ 2x4 board in the back of the truck. The 2x4 is for soft ground issues if the jack try’s to sink. My big thing is I buy new quality trailer tires every three years. I also keep my pressure checked.

4x6 cut for ramp with tandem trailer. Breaker bar, thin wall socket, 18volt 1/2” impact. Keep spare in bed of truck so I don’t have to unbolt it in the heat.

Get you one of the trailer tire pressure sensing systems for under $100.

About 5 total minutes to make a change.

Here's a couple of other options for single axle trailer jack.

SeaSense EASY LIFT JACK

Trailer Legs - more expensive and probably better, but can't just buy one

I have one of these I carry for my single axel flat bed and my single axel Champion 188-DCX. Still wish I had a dual axel trailer for it.

I bought an EZ Trac Trailer with fancy wheels and ran a piece of Rebar through the tire the first time I launched the boat. The holes on the fancy wheels were too small to fit a 4 way lug wrench inside. I was lucky a passing Redneck had a Socket and I happened to have a Break over. Otherwise I would be still sitting at the Ramp with my fancy trailer.
