Cat,

Your exactly right dude, this rod is the ticket for this kind of fishing. I got to get me one of the Tekota 600's for it and put the Calcutta 400 back on my striper rod though.

Fishingnut

This pic was at Allen Henry, which is between Post and Snyder just to the east of hyw 84.

Edit: we have finally gotten enough local heavy rain to the point of getting run-off. So we are getting some of the 12' fow we have been missing. The cats should be all up there with the nose pointed right into the incoming water too. The holiday weekend and all, kind of messes up my plans or Rowdy would already be there. Figure I will let the holiday happen and then I will go up there in the mouth of the lake.

I have a new bait recipe I am wanting to see if it's going to work like I think it will. If it does, it will work on artificial baits as well and I will post on here the recipe for you that would like to try it as well.

That's what I thought. As soon as Lubbock bought the land, I roamed those canyons looking for arrowheads. I managed to fish it for a few years before I moved to the DFW area. Used to stop at Nancy's Baithouse in Post as that was the only place to buy minnows back then.

Well, if you zoom in on the background of this pic, you will see lots of 10' Cedar trees that would normally be underwater. The hunting grounds of ol'e yellow... the lake is coming up, but it has a long way to go. I have all intentions of being back up here this next week too.
