I know this has been beat to death a million times, but all oils have to meet manufacturers api specs, and this even meets dexos spec (won’t void gm warranty). I’ve used it in a ton of different vehicles, gear lube, trans fluid, engine oil, you name it. I don’t stretch my maintenance intervals and I use a high quality filter, never had any problems. Can’t see it being any better or worse than any of the standard big box brand oils available on the market these days.

I use it for most applications they make something for. My wife’s car has 180,000 miles of almost exclusively supertech oil. Mostly use motorcraft filters but have used the supertech filters as well when others are not in stock. Vehicle runs great doesn’t use oil smoke etc. runs great.

Filter wise I have used a few myself, they have changed suppliers in the last year or two because the filter has gone changed in color and a few of them are bigger lengthwise now, I wouldn’t hesitate to use their filters for a normal OCI. I have a stash of motorcraft and purolator filters that I’m finishing up using for a few things, but I’ve more or less switched to baldwin for all of my filter (air, fuel, oil, transmission) applications, they have a very sturdy build and the cut open of one showed good filter media with lots of pleats and a solid spring on the bottom, buy in bulk on rockauto and save $$$.

Super tech is made by Warren Oil and they are a respected company. Nothing at all wrong with it.I run it in my ram 2500 with the Cummins and the recommended interval is every 15,000 so that’s what I do. Has almost 190,000 on it.

What diesel oil do they have? I do t recall seeing much? They have 15w-40 and they have straight 30 weight. I believe they also have it in hydraulic/transmission oil for tractors, as well as an sj rated lawnmower oil, also have some wet clutch rated oils, as well as lower unit oil. The only thing I can’t find is a conventional wet clutch rated oil in their brand.

It probably is the same as everything else. I don’t know, I just can’t conscientiously put a “Walmart brand” oil in my truck. I run Mobil Delvac in my Duramax.
My buddy runs Super Tech in his Tacoma and F150 though. No problems of course. What you gotta think about is when have you ever heard of someone having catastrophic mechanical failure because they chose to use one oil brand over the other

I’ll say this much, prices just keep up and up, 6 quarts of 5w30 is like $27! Doesn’t seem like much, but oil and filter costs between $30-35 now depending on the vehicle. That’s a far cry from the $20 or so it cost me 3-4 years ago.

What you gotta think about is when have you ever heard of someone having catastrophic mechanical failure because they chose to use one oil brand over the other I've run SuperTech synthetic in all four of our family vehicles since 2010. My '98 Chevy Tahoe just hit 270,000miles and has been drinking SuperTech 5W-30 synthetic for most of it's life. I did run some Pep Boy's 'ON SALE' Shell 5W-30 conventional oil in her for a few years. Pretty sure that 5.7 engine can't taste the difference!

If it was [censored]. Something that'd hurt the engine. You would have heard about it way before this. People would be rolling them on every review. Nobody would be buying it.

It’s probably just some big name brand rebottled and sold under the Walmart name. I think a high quality filter like a baldwin, purolator or wix is more important that the brand of oil used.

Exactly, at one time I read about who makes it but don't remember the company. WalMart does not make oil just like Sears did not make Kenmore appliances.

Wal-Mart is brutal with companies that ain't their house brand. Had a friend in the tire business. They supplied tires to all the local tire shops.
Asking them one day why they don't supply Wal-Mart. They explained that Wal-Mart charges suppliers for the ability to sell in their store. So instead of a cut of the profit. It's a cut of the profit and a selling fee.
That's why the house brands are cheaper. Wallyworld doesn't charge itself to sell it's own stuff.
