We're going there in the morning and come home Tuesday morning. Going to try for some bluegill.
Any suggestions on where to look for them? We'll probably be up the north end and try up the river as well.
Just never fished that lake. Boat ramp advice for that north end welcome also. Don't mind paying at all especially if it avoids the twice a year boaters!
We would not be opposed to trying for Bass or other, but primary target is Sunfish.
I'm bringing 300 crickets so hope we can use some of them up!
Thanks!

I have never seen a PK post about Bluegill/Sunfish? I have also never fished PK ! Bluegill are spawning on certain water bodies. I would fish in 4 to 8 feet of water by weed/grass beds or reeds. Also look for structure such as large rocks, docks, or stick-ups. You should do good on the crickets. I use worms. Good luck and let us know how you do. thumb

Thanks Banker and Butch. I bet we find some. I saw a video of a guy in a bass boat catching some monsters at a marina. This weekend not the time for that in a pontoon boat.

If you are on the North end go up in Rock Creek from the main lake just before you turn West to go in the river.

Kayaked PK years ago during late September. Caught Bluegill around structure in 8 to 15 feet of water. Used small spinner baits.
