It's a Kraken floating

Looks like a grebe or a commorant about dead center just above the bottom line of the pic where the sun is reflecting off the water.

The only critter was a skunk.. practice run for kayak tournament.. paddled 2 miles out, circled the whistle buoy and paddled back in.. Too much boat traffic for me.. Navy boats and different marine patrols kept everyone out of subs way as it was going through sea trials in waters from 70 to 120 feet..no bait around, no birds, and lots of big boats zooming in all directions.

c'mon dude, you can do better.
