I guarantee they will also! And I would bet everyone in smaller boats can thank KP for what's coming. I would bet there will be a change in minimum length and Hp of all boats and a couple of pages of clarification on what can and can't be done. So he is all about the little guy but he will be the reason the little guy won't be fishing BASS out of a smaller boat. All he is really for are clicks on his social media. I wish people could see that.

This. It’s ONLY about the clicks for him.

The people complaining how dangerous it is are the the same ones afraid of getting sued for everything.

Meh- I’m afraid of getting sued for everything and I thought it was cool…

you cannot be scared if you're the "grand bass slayer".

I wouldn’t do- I don’t like scratching my boat…😅

I didn’t know who this poche guy was - I think he was the one that got punched in a lock right? Anyways started watching his videos a few months ago and I find him likeable and entertaining. I’m not sure why swindle needed to make the video- he comes across as a wannabe hall monitor.

Swindle is one of the "elder statesmen" of BASS.

He probably feels it's his "role" to speak up.

Yep, Poche and Ish. Oddly, this came up on recent Zaldain podcast and apparently Zaldain was there, and inferred to the impact of the boats being a lot more aggressive than most have talked about... as in Poche came in so hot/fast the impact actually cracked fiberglass on both boats. IIRC, it was always referred to as a "bump" in the lock previously.

Poche and Ish in the lock.

G Man has sat in on more than one or two meetings in Birmingham. BASS leans on him for a lot of input and they should because the guy is a legend and represents them and the sport well. I don't think he comes off as a "hall monitor" as someone said earlier. G is G and I think he gives it ya as straight as can be.

There is a reason just about every tournament organization in America prefaces their rules (usually in the first line) with some statement like this. "All rules interpretations are at the discretion of the tournament director and their decisions are final". The reason for this is this one simple fact.....there is NO WAY to write down every single rule or anticipate every situation that could arise during a fishing tournament. In short, the TD's are the police, judge, and jury. I give BASS credit, they at least have an appeals process for the accused. I am not sure any other organization even has that. Heck, they even let the public know the "types" of people who sit on this appeals board. I give them credit for being transparent at least because that opens them up to even more scrutiny.....see the comments on this page about the college angler on the appeal board.

I like Keith Poche and I feel bad for the dude. I have heard his side and he is right, but I believe his process was wrong. He simply does not have words like "interpretation" on HIS SIDE like BASS does, nor does anyone competing under that shield.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

I think Swindle's spiel about safety was ironic given this article

https://www.mossyoak.com/our-obsession/blogs/fishing/gerald-swindles-lessons-from-tournament-fishing

Anyone know what the rules were in this tournament when swindle was jumping beaver dams?

Interesting, what is good for the goose is apparently not good for the gander.

Not sure this is the same thing...beaver dam is natural and has water in, around, and under it. That road that Poche jumped was man-made and had no water access unless you physically left water.
