I see that BPS has this image, suggesting I can mount it directly to the motor housing. I’m running a Terrova so mounting to the shaft isn’t an option. I can also add an attachment to separate it from the housing, but wanted to see what anyone’s experience has been mounting directly as in this image. Is it advisable? Will the interference be too much? Should I just shut up and try it and see?
I mounted my LVS32 on my troll motor shaft and i thought it was working fine until I tried to Calibrate it and that`s where the issue began. I couldn`t get the directional icon on the Garmin screen because of Troll motor internal compass causing interference. I put transducer on a seperate mount and it worked just fine!
Many thanks. I’ll start with it on the barrel and then maybe go from there. Found some DIY rigs on YouTube so’s I don’t have to shell out $300 for a custom one.
