My boat was among the 37 that were in the Central Texas marina that was partially destroyed by strong winds on Friday May 5. My 2 month old Humminbird Helix was in the water, along with my boat, for about 36 hours. I contacted Humminbird to ask about their experience with this situation. Their response was pay $400, send the unit, and we will check.

I know it's a long shot, but if any TFF members have had a similar problem, or know of anyone who has, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks--

As long as no power was applied to it while wet I'd try putting it in rice for a week then try it. May or may not work but worth a try.
