I tried the green/green one again today on CC in 40 fow with Bobo thumper going. Fish came up under me from the bottom up to 25 fow and I'd get a fish every drop with the BoBlade. They would hit it several times on the way down - sometimes hooking up. If they didn't hook up on the way down, I would reel the BoBlade up fast and get one.

I need to ask if you are using a Mono or Floro leader for the Bo-Blade. I went with straight bait to a swivel on braid. It wanted to always tangle on me. Need some pointers if you got them.

I use a 17lb mono leader on mine. That is strong enough to land the hybrids and it keeps it from tangling with the lure.

I tie it directly to my 100% fluorocarbon line - 12 lb test.

CarpOverBass, I think you have to buy them from either M. T. Pockets or Mark Bovee. Don't believe they are in local retail stores.

Here's a dumb question. It looks a lot like a Little George except with the hook at the back instead of the belly. How is it different otherwise? Or is that the difference?

They are made from the jigging spoon (bomber spoon) They are in no way like the little George

Friend Graham and I tested some baits yesterday on CC to see which performed better after drawing fish up under the boat in 31 to 35 fow with my Bobo thumper. The baits we tested are shown below. Top-down are the green BoBlade, my modified #4 Mepps spinner, a silver BoBlade, a 1 oz nickel Little Cleo, and a MAL Mepps. Graham tested the green BoBlade and I tested the rest. With lots of fish under us, we caught fish on every drop with all the baits. Graham caught fish on 20 straight drops and reeling the green BoBlade up fast. As the fish thinned out, the two best were the green BoBlade and my modified Mepps. We were not catching fish every drop any more, but these two lures caught more This is just one data point. We will keep testing.
