Black Bass are fair to good up to 2.5 lbs on 7" T-rigged black worms with chartreuse or blue U-tails in the cattails.

Bream are very good on crickets near the golf course.

Channel cats are good to very good with limits on fresh shad.

White bass are fair to good on Road Runners in the creek between MC and JP.

I wouldn't eat [censored] outta that lake, but used to fish it between classes at DBU. Caught some good sandbass and black bass across from the cemetary.

I see this on the tpwd website "The Texas Department of State Health Services has placed a consumption advisory on Mountain Creek Lake due to PCB contamination. Persons are advised not to consume any fish from this reservoir."

and if you follow the link you get the below. I'll skip the crappie in that lake.. just sayin.

Revised: Mountain Creek Lake in Dallas County

polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
dioxins
Persons should not consume common carp, freshwater drum, or smallmouth buffalo from this lake.
For channel catfish and white bass, adults are advised to limit consumption to one 8-ounce meal per month. Women of childbearing age and children under 12 should not consume channel catfish or white bass.
Adults should limit consumption of flathead catfish to two 8-ounce meals per month; and largemouth bass to three meals per month. Women of childbearing age and children under 12 should limit consumption of flathead catfish and largemouth bass to one 4-ounce meal per month.
This replaces a previous advisory issued in 2010. See details.

This may be true but people were eating all kinds of fish out of Mountain Creek up until they put the consumption ban on it. My feelings are this was just stage one of letting the Big Baptist college take over the Dallas side of the lake.
