i was there around 9:00 o clock and fished for about half an hour around the bridge on both sides and caught nothing

We used to kill the hybrids and sandies down there. Wade out as far as you can and up to the floats. Cast a Tailspinner or Rooster Tail as far upstream as you can, then bring it back just fast enough to keep it off bottom. You'll lose a few baits, but the fishing can make up for it. Also caught a 13 pound drum up there doing that one day--heck of a fight!

There is a cable with buoys attached to it just downstream of the dam, well before the bridge. Don't go past this cable, or the fence on the bank that is parallel to it. Right now the water may be over your head before you get to the buoys.
