Anyone know a good spot to launch my pedal kayak for texas bayou fishing? Heard of chicken crossing but some posts online say it's closed to the public.

There use to be a book called "Honey Holes" by Ray Crawford which covered most of the places to launch a kayak or wade fish. It is a worth while book, might do a search to see if you can find it.

Ray's book, "Wade & Kayak Fishing the Upper Texas Coast", though dated, would show you lots of launches, many of which probably have been "privatized" and closed. Ray's books have been out of print for decades and are very hard to find, and dear when you do, I have the book for the Coastal Bend. IslandJim

Chipstakked: You might want to post your question on TexasKayakFisherman.com forum. Lots of helpful folks there, that might have a better answer than you've received here. Welcome to the Forum. IslandJim
