I fished RR heavy back in the day when it was a real fishery and even then, it always seemed that late April and especially May would be when it began to turn on. The fronts are messing it up every weekend for the weekend fisherman for sure, but I am not even considering going until May. It just seems to me to be the last lake to get going out of all the lake in N Texas.

Correction....WAY TOO DAMNED WINDY!

Coming across Loan Oak last night on my way home from work, legit 3 foot waves, it was rolling!

Went by the Jordan Moore Ramp this morning...even with the breaks you could see the white caps rolling. It's going to be a rough SOB today.

Big wind makes it fish very small...Marina, State Park cove, and a few others get packed when the South wind blows...

Maybe we should make the wind get permits to only blow so many days each month.

There's some logic

Just have to turn the big fans off down by San Angelo, out west and up along 82. That should lower the wind.

Your going to really upset Mother Nature.. She holds a grudge..

Gates are shut and the water is clearing up. Should be some big bags Saturday.
