I've eaten at #2. Eichsens. It is great! Be aware though, they have not hostess or assigned seating. You literally have to stand by the table of someone leaving and grab it when they stand up.

I will be in Greenville for a week in June, we will have to give Doe's a try.

You need to add Chicken Shack on your list. I like it better than Eischens.

Joe Allens Pit BBQ in Abilene. Last time I ate there was 1985 or 86, I was doing some short term work at the TI site there. At that time it was "THE BBQ" place. I remember the food was great.

Chicken Lips, Sun Prarie Wisconsin. Best chicken wings in the country. Complete dive. I once offered the owner $5,000 bucks and a non-compete for his dry rub recipe and he turned it down.

Pat's BBQ in the middle of nowhere outside Chapel Hill is great. I think it's one of those "we're open until we run out of meat" places. I also think they are only open a few days a week. Don't worry about safety eating in a run-down building. There will be a couple of sheriff's deputies or DPS officers coming in to eat before long.

We deployed there in 84 or 85. We went to a restaurant in a hotel that served the finest steaks I've ever seen. Wish I could remember the name. SAC life. banana

Leonard's Barbecue, Memphis, Tennessee.
