If those are from canyon lake...as in near New Braunfels...you are one of very few people who can find stripers of any size out of that lake in a long time. Mega congrats on your catches and the new record.

Congrats on catching that monster size Striper !

Nothing like that in the TPWD records for many years and Canyon record goes back to 1997.

https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/programs/fishrecords/freshwater/top50_striped.phtml

Buddy of mine caught the Red River fish in 1989 and when I saw the mount I couldn't believe the size.

Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

Looks like your buddy’s striper will knocked down 1 on the top 50 list.

Lived on that lake in the 90's as a kid. Striper were small on the lake side back then, but you could catch them. They were huge in the river after trout stocking. I remember the year someone caught a record fish and found out it was caught on a live trout, LOL.

The 90s were great for quality fish in the lake. Boated quite a few in 20-30lb range
