Lake Fork Report 3/11/23
The bite has picked up a lot! Bigger bass are moving up onto beds all over the lake, in the back of coves to shallow areas on the main lake. There’s a lot of flooded cover and bass are making thier beds inside this cover.
Conditions: temp low 60s
Cloudy overcast
Depth: 1-3’
Lures: black and blue salamanders, white paddletails, and orange paca craws.
You need to fish in the heavy cover. Boating around I saw some giants roaming in the creeks but they weren’t on beds yet.
Use light line (14lb) small hooks and weights. The water was clear 1-4’ visibility so minimize your presentations. Be patient and try different lures if a fish isn’t biting when they are on a bed.
Overall our top 4 fish were 4.2, 5.5, 5.4, 6.4lbs
A great day of fishing and nice heavy bag of fish.

Thank you, I think I was a little too detailed. I had someone PM me telling me he hired a guide the day before and they zeroed out. He asked for some guidance. I told him about where I fished the same day I posted my report and showed him where to go. He told me he went back there the very next day after I posted this and there were a ton of boats! He had to take turns to fish but he did end up catching 4 fish the biggest was 6lbs. Maybe I should be a little less specific haha.
