Figure I would post this for those who fish upriver out of Canyon lake for whites. Rebecca creek ramp is closed , also, the river has completely stopped flowing about 200 yards downstream from the Spanish style house near the rapids. If you know where the old stone boat ramp is upriver , just below that is as far as you can go in a low draft boat.

It's really sad that the once mighty Guadalupe River has been reduced to a creek bed, and drought is bad!
That used to be my favorite river to fish, and I pulled many white bass from the shores around that big house even before it was built.
There used to be a neighborhood park that you could drive in and fish and nobody would run you off.
I had never seen the river stop flowing until all the developers started invading the hill country about 30 years ago, spreading out from SA.
It's sad, but no turning back now, and everybody wants to live in the "hill country" so they can enjoy the view of all the hills (roof tops), so I'm just thankful I have those memories!

Just one more cast!

Figured I would post the GPS coordinates for the shallow spots . At this location water is about 2 feet deep for a bit : 29.916774372575, -98.3342389154527. At this location it's 6" to a foot, I had to pole though here with my aluminum 17' G3 : 29.89586341605874, -98.344091027387. This one is the end of the line, river is completely stopped here: 29.887056936399812, -98.3429227636223. I'm going up again Thursday and will post another report.

Well , upriver was almost a total bust . Fished with minnows all morning , caught one nice channel cat . Saw lots of spawning carp and gar , but did not catch a single white. The river is still
Not flowing as previously noted, but has not dropped anymore it appears. On the bright side , Iā€™m doing pretty good catching Blues on jugs in the main body of the lake using cut Tilapia.
