I don't know your climate but I would think so. If it's actively grow and you're mowing already then go ahead and fert. If it's just now coming out of dormancy then wait a few weeks. My schedule is April-September.

Collin County Feed and Seed stocks APF 13-13-13 for $35.00 per 50lbs.. APF doesn't have a sexy name or label, and you've probably never heard of it, but it's a quality fertilizer with Ammonium Sulfate based nitrogen source which it what you're looking for. You run that at 4lbs per 1000 in the front and anywhere from 6-7lbs in the back every 4 weeks and you will be banging.

Why fertilize heavier in the back?

Yikes. I sure hope you didn't have any green areas. The Mecoprop and Dicama would put a world of hurt on St. Aug. Not sure why they didn't just go out Atrazine if they knew you had St. Aug. An app of Potassium on dormant grass is pretty useless. Plus your area tends to be high on potassium anyway to the point you could just run a Nitrogen only fertilizer. I would be on the hunt for a good spray and pray company. Typically your mow and blow guys will be a separate company. Spray and prays don't want anything to do with mowing. I'll look around for you too.
