Having a new fence installed at home. Can anyone offer any suggestions on having a horizontal or vertical slats pattern

Get galv square posts, they pay for themselves, it’s a little extra but a top cap really finishes it off nice. I did galv square posts 16 years ago, had the fence replaced again and reused the galv posts, made the new fence a lot cheaper.

Like Dawg we have the vertical...but there is a TFFer that builds really cool stuff (their name escapes me) and has posted pics of a fence he built that was horizontal and it looked really sharp. I'd probably go that route the next time around.

How long does a metal fence last? A few of our neighbors have gone with them now.

I think the vertical slats looks like chit, remind me of a pallet turned on it side and used as fencing.

This guy does a lot of fences in the Frisco, Allen, Plano, McKinney area and does great work, look at his gallery and it has a some examples of finished fences some with vertical slats.

Been kicking around the idea of a tin and wood combination.

That looks cool….and it’s a combination of vertical and horizontal. I like it.

I had some pics, but couldn't find them, of a fence like this and LOVE these types of fences.
